Croeso - a warm, Welsh welcome

A treasure trove of historic tales, turrets and twisting stone staircases, Plas Llanmihangel’s charm is in its balance of enchanting intrigue and welcoming luxury. A fairytale escape to never forget.

Thought to be one of the oldest homes in Wales (dating back to the 12th century), Grade 1 listed Plas Llanmihangel was once owned by a Norman knight. Formerly the courthouse of the Vale of Glamorgan, this castellated manor house is rich with historical features, including a watch tower (perfect for stargazing), original barricaded door, priest holes, and an old dungeon entrance (now a fabulous games room).

Nestled deep in the Vale of Glamorgan’s rolling countryside, and a few short miles from its Heritage Coast, Llanmihangel is idyllic in its proximity to the very best of the local area. With panoramic views of the local countryside from the tower, its the perfect place to plan your adventure! If you’re not keen on venturing far, the Plas is set within around 14 acres of grounds including a magical ancient Yew Tree wood.

Complete with a full suit of armour, four poster beds, enormous hearths and a medieval wood panelled Great Hall - Plas Llanmihangel has been lovingly restored to its former glory. Modernised with sympathetic touches and contemporary luxuries like a wood fired hot tub, the home offers the ultimate harmony of historic splendour and modern comfort.
